The founder
Built by an operator, for operators.
Roger Johnson spent fourteen years owning and running a manufacturing and distribution business in Statesville. He bought the company while it was losing money, returned it to profitability within a year, acquired and integrated a competitor, and built a contract metal fabrication line from idle machine capacity. He sold the business in 2023.
Before that, Roger spent fourteen years in professional motorsports, including eight as a car chief in the NASCAR Cup and Xfinity Series — an environment where deadlines do not move, problems must be solved quickly, and results are visible to everyone.
Today, he works alongside owners facing many of the same challenges he experienced firsthand: growth that has outpaced the systems, an owner carrying too much of the operation, and important improvements that never quite make it to the top of the list.
Roger founded The Mooresville Group to give those owners a practical operating partner — someone who understands that a company is more than a financial model. It is a team, a reputation, and a livelihood.
